A former chief executive of the Scottish Football Association (SFA) has called for an inquiry into historical sexual abuse. Gordon Smith told BBC Radio’s Good Morning Scotland programme it should look at how clubs and national bodies responded to allegations. Mr Smith said: “There should be an inquiry, an inquiry into anybody who knew anything about this sort of thing.

You mean like Big Jock, who knew?

“If this was happening at a club, what action did they take?

In the case of the Parkhead Paedophiles – none.

“We’re now finding out some of the cases down in England where the club tried to hush the situation, even paid a player money to not say anything about it.”

Over at Cromwell Street, the Celtic Manager Jock Stein instructed employees to hush up the filth perpetrated by twice-convicted Celtic paedophile James Torbett.

The English Football Association has commissioned an independent investigation into the way it dealt with abuse allegations.

Meanwhile the Scottish Football Association followed Peter’s instructions carefully and tried to act as if 5 paedophiles strutting their stuff at the Theatre of Shame was nothing out of the ordinary.

Partick Thistle have not named the physiotherapist accused of carrying out abuse or made clear if he was reported to the authorities at the time.

The Parkhead Peadophiles have re-named their youth wing St. Patricks, gave them a bung and reported absolutely nothing to anyone at any time.

In a statement, the north Glasgow club said: “As far as Thistle’s current management can ascertain, no other allegations were made to the club at that time with regard to him or any other employee. “The club has contacted the SFA and Police Scotland to advise them of what they know to date and will fully comply with any investigation.”

Conversely, directors at the Parkhead Paedophiles contacted Torbett to renew business arrangements and warned him to watch his back.

Partick Thistle said the police and the football authorities have now been informed Gordon Smith said any inquiry set up by the football authorities would have to consider three groups of people.

“Obviously there’s people who were committing the offences,” he said. “They are a disgrace and hopefully they’re going to be found out legally and charged.

Two Celtic paedophiles convicted so far, with three more due in court.

“There’s the kids who suffered from it who are now adults who obviously got great psychological and traumatic effects of it.

The kids, now traumatised adults, who deserve apologies and compensation from the vile perpetrators and the rancid organisations and individuals who covered for same.

“The third element is the people who maybe knew something about this going on and didn’t do anything about it. Although they’re maybe not legally culpable they’re certainly morally culpable because they didn’t do anything about it.”

Jock Stein, Kevin Kelly, Jack McGinn and Billy McNeil to name but a few.

The SFA said it is not currently backing the idea of an independent inquiry but it may look at the proposal again after police have gathered evidence.

Say something quick, get on the phone to Peter for advice and hope this all goes away.

“The darkness associated with a club with a triumphant past just won’t go way.”

Below, an excerpt from “Celtic – The Official History” by former Celtic Football Club Director Brian Wilson.

“Youngsters like Roy Aitken and Tommy Burns were coming through from Celtic Boys Club which had been founded in 1971 to bring youngsters under the Celtic Wing.”
For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Wilson wrote the book as a fully sanctioned and funded Celtic F.C. publication.

Mr. Wilson once claimed in a newspaper article that Rangers F.C. should be ashamed of themselves for advertising McEwans Lager on their shirts. Something to do with the effect it could have on children…….

As Stephen Fry once so succinctly put it, “sometimes there just isn’t enough vomit in the world”

The Club Like No Other Called Out By Legal Eagle

Statement by Patrick McGuire, Senior Partner Thompsons Solicitors 7th November 2018

“Celtic have today issued a statement saying well…..very little.

The one thing that it was at pains to do was to reinforce their position that Celtic Bhoys Club was, to use the words of the statement “entirely separate from Celtic Football Club”.

That is factually incorrect, it is legally questionable at best.

It is time for Celtic to face their moral responsibility and their legal obligation.

It is time for Celtic Football Club to deliver financial justice to every survivor to those abused at Celtic Football Club.

It’s time for there to be full and fair legal financial redress as every survivor is entitled in law.”

For the avoidance of doubt, Patrick McGuire is not an anti-Catholic, anti-Irish racist.

The Parkhead Paedophiles Will Appear In Court in U.K And Possibly U.S.A

In May 2019 the All Scotland Personal Injury Court in Edinburgh will hear a landmark case against Celtic Football Club. A former Celtic player will seek damages for historic sexual abuse. The pursuer has been diagnosed as suffering from mental ill health attributable to the abuse that Separate Entity FC covered up.

The Parkhead Paedophiles over at Cromwell Street will be forced into court. They will no doubt again peddle the vile “boys club were nothing to do with us” lie. They are beneath contempt. The evidence to the contrary is absolutely overwhelming.

Vanguardbears understands that in excess of 30 former Celtic players have commenced or are considering damages claims against the eternally stained football club. We know of at least seven Celtic victims who have yet to press charges. Events revealed in courts of law during the twice-convicted Celtic paedophile James Torbett cases are just the tip of the iceberg.

Twice-convicted Celtic paedophile James Torbett (above) was a friend, business partner and regular guest of Celtic Directors Jack McGinn and Kevin Kelly.

This latest news comes before paedophilia related court cases are heard against former Celtic employees Jim McCafferty, Francis Cairney and Gerald King. In the event of guilty verdicts, the number of former Celtic players pursuing the club for damages could exceed 100 and tie up The Basket of Filth in litigation for many years.
Further, other victims are looking into pursuing The Club Like No Other in courts in USA, regards historical events and underhand secret pacts following a tournament in New Jersey. This could result in former Celtic officials being forced to give evidence Stateside.
As events unfold, it’s clear that The Celtic Scandal is no longer just a Scottish or even British affair. For the avoidance of doubt, no amount of clandestine payments and name changes will cover their sordid shame.

Separate Entity FC believe they should play on the world stage.
Their dreams may come sooner than they think.

The Infallibility Delusion

Celtic FC have issued 2 recent statements with the air of some pontiff who is so far removed from reality that, if it wasn’t so serious, we’d all fall off our metaphorical chairs clutching our sides with painful laughter.
The Celtic FC 131 statement (see link below) was to celebrate the work done by the Irish Catholic priest, Brother Walfrid acknowledging the ‘charitable’ work carried out in the good name of Catholicism. The statement even mentioned “dinner tables for the children”. What moral fortitude and foresight Br Walfrid had shown, after all, we all know how precious children are to the future of the Roman Catholic cult. It’s an abuse factory. Now, I’m no historian but the Irish diaspora had been coming to Scotland and especially Glasgow for a generation before Br Walfrid’s soup kitchen turned up, what took him so long?
The latest statement is about the twice convicted paedophile Jim Torbett acknowledging the abuse but arrogantly stating that the Celtic Boys Club and Celtic FC are separate entities. How gracious and endearing that dis-association must be for the people abused and polluted by Torbett for a generation before, what took you so long?
The statement issued is grotesque. It states how terrible these crimes are and how brave the victims and victims families have been. But never far from the narrative and the thrust of the statement is, “nothing to do with us” so please move on with your life so that our cherished delusion can continue without a stain on our perfect virtue. We are Celtic FC and we are above scrutiny, investigation and above all we are infallible
That is pretty much it. We are perfect, never wrong and we are superior to you and your moral code, with a little tongue in cheek flourish for internal use only of “look it could have been so much worse…..I think we may get away with this bhoys”. Never mind the ruined lives and the ritual humiliation, how best to demonstrate that the victims are no better than an inconvenience to be dismissed in an astonishing act of hubris.
This is what happens when institutions are given free reign and not held to account in a proper manner. Put bluntly they become the self appointed moral arbiters and dictators for significant parts of our culture, I include the SFA and SPFL in this and little has less significance in Scotland than our national game.
Not only do they think they are untouchable, they are deranged in their cosseted belief that the boys club and Celtic FC are separate. There is a list as long as Cardinal O’Briens fondling arm stating and showing evidence of how both clubs are intertwined. It is irrefutable unless your seriously confused or just downright egregious.
The directors and lawyers who wrote that scandalous statement are every bit as heinous and monstrous as their counterparts a generation ago who allowed this paedophilic behaviour to be initially covered up then facilitated by re-employing this animal.
This trait of temerity and overconfidence is now going to be their undoing. Let me just pick one part of that loathsome statement issued today…..“we have always taken these allegations extremely seriously because of our historic contacts with Celtic Boys’ Club”.
The snippet of that statement I have quoted above is a blatant lie. They did not take the allegations seriously otherwise Torbett would not have been in a position to prey on children after the initial allegations and crimes took place. Off the cuff there have been other allegations and convictions of a sexual nature at Celtic Park relating to the Club photographer and admin staff, both after their groundbreaking code of conduct was introduced in the 90’s to protect people.
Jim Torbett is a multiple offender, he is a serial sexual predator. He is responsible for crimes over 3 decades at least. His last known act was in 1994. He has been convicted for a second time, 24 years after his last known offence. He carried out sexual abuse at Celtic Boys Club in the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s and these cretins at Celtic FC express regret! What are they regretting? The fact that their infallible institution now has to try, but failing, to distance itself from something it discovered, hid then aided by future business deals and continued endorsement of Celtic Boys Club, the feeder club for Celtic FC?
What is needed is an “unpacking” of the contempt that Celtic FC clearly has toward anyone who is rightly questioning this perverse logic. Powerful institutions and individuals have been dethroned recently with tiny acts that soon grew and overwhelmed them. The preening and the flawless turned out to be gruesome and after all that certainty, fallible.
We Must Be Bolder

Scotland’s Shame

As sure as night follows day, when former Celtic Boys Club chief Jim Torbett was found guilty for a second time of several counts of sexual abuse of children, a certain section of the Celtic support took to Twitter in rage, but not at Torbett, or their own club for their conduct at the time and right now, but at those calling out Celtic on their conduct.

As Mark Daly reported, the club has a long history with the Boys Club spanning 55 years, with the boys club acting as a feeder club being a recipient of significant sums of money from the club, support and assistance from key club figures including Jock Stein, Billy McNeil and David Hay.

There is documentary evidence of this, including numerous reports in Official Celtic publication the Celtic View, and transactions between Celtic FC and Torbett himself to the tune of £1M AFTER he was first found guilty of abusing boys at Celtic. Note that during this time, Torbett employed not one but two Celtic FC Directors (Jack McGinn and Kevin Kelly). McGinn, of course, also served on the board of the SFA for many years.

There has been muted coverage in the print media, with front pages yesterday largely running reports as 2nd or 3rd story, with no coverage whatsoever today.

You get the feeling that the print media in particular wish to move on as quickly as possible, and most certainly are not interested in anything beyond Torbett’s abuse.

To put this in to context, the Penn State scandal in the US, resulted in global headlines with major fines and sanctions for the club, on a far smaller scale than what has happened at Celtic, which involves many more children and several abusers working at the one boys club at the same period, with the chief being an employer of two Celtic Directors (with one also being an SFA Director), being in receipt of significant sums of cash, and being re-employed by the club after being kicked out of the club by Jock Stein.

The media in Scotland wish to bury this scandal as quick as possible, as do Celtic and the SFA.

It’s immoral, and is a scandal in itself.

To give credit where it’s due, a handful of Celtic supporters, along with Daly and The Herald Celtic supporting journalist Neil Cameron, have challenged Celtic to make some sort of response to what is their issue, however, this is sadly outweighed by many Celtic supporters indulging in the most reprehensible denial and deflection.

You’d think any football fan would be more disgusted at their club failing to take action to prevent children being abused, or trying to imply that it’s not their responsibility, but no, there are several high profile Celtic supporters who are apparently more angry at those challenging this vile behaviour.

In this circle of shame, apparently if you are disgusted at Celtic and express this, you are point scoring.

Our old friend Andy Muirhead, who once joined VB under the username MauriceEdu8 and was banned within hours for posting disgusting racist hatred, apparently thinks that Rangers fans are “using child abuse to get back at your city rivals for laughing at you getting liquidated”. Yes, really. He’s even written a blog attacking Rangers fans for having the temerity to express an opinion on Celtic abusing children.

Graham Spiers, who has previous for defending child sex offenders, has accused Rangers fans of point scoring, while not attacking Torbett, the numerous Celtic officials who turned a blind eye, or the current Celtic board for their complete and utter silence. Make no mistake that Celtic’s conduct right now is still disgusting. Daly confirmed last night on television that Celtic Boys Club have changed their name to St Patricks in exchange for a five figure payment from Celtic as the parent football club distances itself from the boys club.

Both Celtic and the SFA just want this story to go away. They want to pretend it didn’t happen, and that it either wasn’t their responsibility that it happened, or it isn’t their responsibility to make things right.

As I write, Celtic have released a statement that is astonishing in that it juxtaposes an apology to the victims with a defence of their own conduct, a very questionable assertion that they first knew in the 1990s, and a repeat of the myth that the boys club was distinct from the parent football club.

It is Celtic’s responsibility to make this right, and it’s not Rangers fans they need to be concerned about, but the victims and victims’ families, who have some level of justice but now need comfort and closure that they will be treated with some humanity by Celtic. I should be clear that this present board cannot be trusted on this. Their statement released today makes that clear

The contempt that the victims are being shown by Spiers and Muirhead should be called out, and their reaction bears all the hallmarks of those club custodians who thought it more appropriate to cover it up than call the police.

I ask myself now, if Spiers or Muirhead were Celtic Officials, what option would they choose? Call the police or cover it up?

The conduct of Celtic, as they distance themselves from the boys club, is reprehensible. Given that the club had the audacity to commemorate the birth of their club this week with the oft repeated myth that their club was founded to help the poor (including children), rather than to stop Catholic families going to Soup Kitchens run by the (Protestant) Church of Scotland this is not a surprise.

The truth is something Celtic Football Club are alien to, but they will need to face it soon.

While the priority should indeed be that the abusers find themselves imprisoned, all of those who enabled the abuse should also be punished. The victims deserve better.

Victim, Chief Executive and Senior Solicitor Smash Celtic’s "Separate Entity" Lie

Yesterday, Kenny Campbell, a victim of twice-convicted Celtic Paedophile James Torbett criticised the disgraced football club for their continued denial and lack of empathy:

Mr. Campbell stated he is angry at the way Celtic FC has tried to disassociate itself from Celtic Boys’ Club since the sexual abuse became public. He said: “Now you hear this attempted disassociation between Celtic Boys’ Club and Celtic Football Club. When I was there Celtic Boys’ Club was the feeder club to Celtic Football Club. Any functions we were at, there were Celtic players there, Celtic management there, there were Celtic directors there, you trained at Barrowfield which was Celtic’s training ground. You were always in contact with Celtic players, on bank holidays, playing friendlies. Then there was this attempt to disassociate”.

And he spoke of the return of Torbett to the boys’ club after allegations had been made and he had left, initially. He said: “Torbett should never have been allowed back in there. He walked around Parkhead as if he owned it. He was treated like a God, with people opening doors for him and allowing him access to any part of the building or grounds.”
Janine Rennie, chief executive of Incare Survivors Service Scotland was also very critical of No Response Fc’s attempted cover-up:
She said it was “very disappointing” that Celtic had not issued a statement following Torbett’s conviction. She also told BBC Scotland the club should not be viewed as a “separate legal entity” and should therefore compensate victims of abuse. Ms Rennie said: “We are aware that Mr Torbett was a previous offender and had come back into Celtic so we really feel Celtic has a responsibility to say why that happened.”Patrick McGuire, a senior partner at Thompsons Solicitors who are dealing with compensation claims on behalf of victims of convicted Celtic paedophile Torbett also criticised the Cromwell Street Club for their attempted cover-up:

On @BBCRadioScot now @ThompsonsPat saying Celtic FC’s position on abuse victims is “abhorrent” and that it’s “laughable” to suggest the Boys Club totally separate from Celtic FC. Still no comment from Celtic.

It can surely only be a matter of time before some crackpot made-up group formed by unemployed bloggers describe Mr. Thompson, Ms. Rennie and Mr. McGuire as “anti-Catholic, anti-Irish racists”.
